COURSE OBJECTIVES

A capstone project or a senior year design project is conducted at the end of the Bachelor of Engineering degree plan. Its objective is to introduce students to work on an industrial nature project through which they can build their expertise in Mechanical Engineering at the professional level. It may consists of application to industry or solving industrial problem or creation of an idea that may lead to a product development through prototyping and must have some level of research content. Moreover, it may have a multidisciplinary approach.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES (CLO)

CLO-1: Design a mechanical system, process or component appropriate to level expected from final year undergraduate students. (C6)
CLO-2: Relate the findings of their analysis with the finalized design. (C6)
CLO-3: Propose and justify an appropriate design solution in the form of written report and oral presentation. (A5)
CLO-4: Practice as per a well-defined project plan adhering to deadlines and resource constraints. (A5)
CLO-5: Display self-reliance to acquire sufficient engineering knowledge to solve real-life engineering problems. (A5)
