The Director QEC, Dean FSBS & Manager QEC participated in Progress Review Meeting and Training of QECs organized by Higher Education Commission (HEC) on 31st January to 2nd February,2022 at IQRA University. The program focused on Quality Assurance and Institutional Effectiveness and included various focused group activities for redefining the frame work for improved Quality at institutional level within the ambit of research and innovation. Around 20+ universities/institutions from public and private sectors were welcomed by Vice Chancellor IQRA University, Karachi followed by rigorous training under the able leadership of Mr. Nasir Shah, Managing Director-QAA of HEC.
3. The QEC department has made standardized forms of MS Thesis 1 & 2 on 7th February 2022. It will be shared with all research coordinators.

The QEC department has conducted the faculty orientation ceremony on 29th October,2021. 1. The QEC department initiated the Faculty Development Training Program (FDTP) to enhance the quality of teaching & associate practices. In this regard, the training workshops are lined up in July 2021 by external guests.
2. The Director QEC presented the Self-IPE Report to Honorable President on 19th May 2021. The President ordered to generate a compliance plan against the observation raised on the report.

The Director QEC conducted a QEC meeting on 5th May with QEC Representatives to know the progress and status of the accreditation visit of NBEAC as expected on 31st May 2021.
4. The Director QEC and Registrar MAJU visited Governor House on 29th April to give feedback on the complaint done by students of MAJU. The performance of MAJU was satisfactory as per the presentation given during the meeting.  Representatives from all Government organization and Private Universities in Sindh were present in the meeting.

2. The QEC has successfully conducted “IGNITE Day 2021” held on 27th January, 2021. Students from FOE has participated. In this training workshop, FYP coordinators and supervisor helped students in filing the FYP proposal on IGNITE portal.

1. Faculty Handbook: Mr. Ibrahim Shamsi and Ms. Hira hameed developed the handbook under the supervision of Director QEC.
2. Faculty and Student Handbooks for MS Thesis: Dr. Khitab Gul volunteered himself to develop “Faculty Handbook for MS Thesis” under the supervision of Director QEC. Ms. Zartashia and Ms. Farah Andleeb volunteered to develop “Student Handbook for MS Thesis” under the supervision of Director QEC.
3. Disciplinary Rules Book: The QEC team developed a comprehensive “Disciplinary Rules Book” for the students of MAJU. It will incorporate all the required SOPs and guidance on disciplinary issues generally faced by the students of MAJU.

2. QEC Department has successfully adopted and implemented Outcome Based Education (OBE) interface on all programs in faculty of Engineering on 25th July 2020.
3. Starting from Spring 2020, QEC Department has successfully adopted and implemented the policy of maintaining E-Course file/folders in all faculties of Mohammad Ali Jinnah University.
4. Director QEC has participated in the webinar “ IEEE – ABET Webinar on Accreditation and Quality of Engineering Education in South Asia ”organized by IEEE India Council conducted on 08 July 2020.
