COURSE OBJECTIVES

This course provides a comprehensive overview of the key concepts for the synthesis of organic compounds. Synthesis of compounds include synthesis of paracetamol, salicylic Acid, methyl salicylate, azobenzene, benzoic Acid, 5-Hydroxy-1, 3-benzoxazol-2-one, aspirin, p-nitrosophenol, 3-nitrophthalic acid, o-Chloro-benzoic acid. This course also covers the assay of the drugs like sulpha drugs, aspirin, paracetamol, benzyl penicillin, and inorganic preparations.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES (CLO)

CLO: 1. To Explain the synthesis of medicinally active compounds. (Level: C2)
