PROFILE SUMMARY

Dr. Qandeel Laraib works as an educator and researcher in the field of Microbiology. She has done her BS in Microbiology (2011) from Federal Urdu University, Karachi Campus, Pakistan and secured second position in it. She has completed Ph.D. on the topic “Biodegradation of Azo –dyes in Textile effluent by Indigenous Fungi” under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Sohail (University of Karachi) and Dr. Maryam Shafique (Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology) and submitted her Ph.D. dissertation. She joined the HEC funded project TDF NO: 02-078 titled “Cost effective Production of hydrolytic enzymes: sealing the gaps from bench top to market” as Research Associate. She also served Department of Microbiology, Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology, Gulshan-e-Iqbal Campus as Contractual Lecturer (Morning & Evening Program) from January 2013 – December 2015. During her academic period, she has been participated in various conferences, symposia and annual innovation summits as organizer and summit ambassador. Moreover, she also works as provincial coordinator of South Asian Triple Helix Association.
